These terms apply when you use the Photoyana website or book our photography and film services. Please read them with your quotation or booking confirmation, which sets out the details of your specific shoot.
01Our services
Photoyana provides photography, videography, films and albums for weddings, baby and maternity shoots, ceremonies and other events. The exact coverage, number of hours, team size and deliverables are listed in your quotation or booking confirmation.
02Quotations and booking
Quotes are valid for [X] days and depend on the event date, duration, location and services requested. A booking is confirmed only when we receive your signed or written acceptance and the advance payment. Until then, your date is not held.
03Payments
- An advance of [X]% of the package value confirms your date.
- The balance is due on or before the event day, unless your booking confirmation states otherwise.
- Travel, accommodation and any add-ons agreed outside the package are charged separately.
- Deliverables are released once payment is complete.
04Rescheduling and cancellation
If you need to change your date, tell us as early as possible. We will try to accommodate you subject to availability, and [rescheduling terms — e.g. one free reschedule with [X] days’ notice].
If you cancel, the advance is [refundable / partly refundable / non-refundable] as follows: [cancellation schedule]. If Photoyana has to cancel for a reason within our control, we will refund all amounts paid or help you find a suitable replacement.
05Planning and event-day cooperation
To help us do our best work, please share your schedule, muhurat timings, key people and must-have shots in advance, and make sure we have access to the venue. We cannot be responsible for missed moments caused by late starts, restricted access, poor lighting, or venue and officiant limits on photography.
06Delivery
We aim to share sneak peeks within [X] days, the edited gallery within [X] weeks, and films and albums within [X] weeks of you approving the edit. These timelines are estimates and can vary with the size of the event, the season and your review time.
07Copyright and usage
Photoyana retains the copyright in all photographs and films. On full payment, you receive a personal licence to print, share and display them for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use, resale or editing that alters the look of the work requires our written permission.
Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, you allow us to use selected images and clips from your shoot in our portfolio, website, social media, awards and promotional material. See our Privacy Policy for how to opt out.
08Backups and storage
We back up your files carefully, but we cannot guarantee that they will be stored indefinitely. We keep project files for [X] months after delivery, so please download and save your gallery and films promptly.
09Limits on liability
We take every reasonable step to capture your event as agreed. In the rare event of equipment failure, illness, accident or another cause outside our control that prevents or affects coverage, we will arrange a replacement where possible or refund the amounts paid for the affected services. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10Events beyond our control
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, public emergencies, government orders, strikes or serious disruption to travel. We will work with you to reschedule or find a fair solution.
11Using this website
The content on this website — including text, images, films and logos — belongs to Photoyana or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. We try to keep the information accurate but do not guarantee that it is always complete or current.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka. We would always rather resolve concerns directly, so please talk to us first.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force on the date of your booking confirmation applies to your booking.
